Phantasy Star Portable 2 demo live on PSN

With the Valkyria Chronicles 2 demo hitting just last week and the Phantasy Star Portable 2 demo landing today it’s finally time to dust off your old PSP. I’ve only had the system for a couple months but in that time it’s pretty much been a Final Fantasy 7 and Doctor Who machine so I’m glad to finally have games like PSP2 (heh, PSP), VC2 and today’s release of Ys Seven all come out around the same time. Heck, I’m even a little excited about the new Kingdom Hearts game.

The PSP has been floundering in America for a few years now and it’s a damn shame. In my local Gamestop the PSP section is smaller than the Gamecube rack. It’s had a bit of a resurgence in the last year or so in Japan with games like the Monster Hunter series and with all these major RPG series releasing not just spinoffs, but full sequels on the console it looks like America may be seeing a little renaissance for the console too. Whoa, I didn’t mean to turn just a newspost into my soapbox. Go download the demo and play it! And if you like the game DON’T PIRATE IT!
