The Weekly Contest: Let’s Tap Edition

I’m under the assumption that there’s probably some people out there eager to see the winners of last week’s contest. Luckily for you, the names have been drawn and just a few lines down you’ll find the answer.

The winner of the Sega Saturn is……. Manic Maverick!

And the winner of the Sega Dreamcast is…….. GamingFiend!

Congratulations to both of you! I’ll be sending you an email to gather some shipping information soon.

This week’s episode of Sega Addicts will be about Yuji Naka’s development company, Prope. So, the prize this week will be a copy of their first major release: Let’s Tap for the Nintendo Wii.

How to enter:

It’s simple really. At the end of each week (Saturday night), all of the comments left on the site will be totaled up. Every comment you leave gives you one chance to be drawn as the winner of that week’s prize. So, the more commenting you do the better chance you have to win, but you do have a small chance of winning even if you only leave one comment that week.

Comments that are not relevant to a post will not count. They also have to have substance. Just saying “Awesome” on every post will get you nowhere, son. As long as you’re praising the author for a job well done, asking a question, adding some information, or even debating against one of the author’s points, your comment will count.

At the end of each week the comments will reset. Even if you left a bunch one week, you’ll have no entries unless you leave more the next week. But just think if you’re a big commenter you could potentially win four games a month! Wowza!

  1. Wow. This game looks awesome. Yet another great contest, guys.

  2. The game is awesome. I used to play it a lot until the table in my room broke. I’ve been too lazy to get another table XD

  3. Congrats guys!

I’ve always meant to try this game out but I’ve never had a chance. And that reminds me – has anyone played (or even seen) Ivy the Kiwi?

  4. I’ve never been much of a party game, guy but it’s Prope so woooo.

@Electrium, Alex and I are reviewing the Wii and DS versions respectively. We had to order them from Amazon because Gamestop SUUUUUCKS and hates smaller developers who aren’t Activision and don’t make games about dudes with stubble shooting brown people. If you have the choice between buying a game at Gamestop and ANYWHERE ELSE, choose the latter. Tell your friends.

  5. Congratz Manic Maverick and GamingFiend!

@Matthew Jay – Yeah, I try to avoid buying anything at ebgames.

  6. I used to like Gamestop a lot until I realized that basically all of the best games were on consoles that died at least ten years ago and most of the good games today that manage to maintain the spirit and attention to quality of those games are usually small/indie developers.

  7. YAAYYY! Many thanks! WOOOOOO. And congrats to GamingFiend. ^o^

  8. Congratulations to you as well Manic. Enjoy your Saturn 🙂

  9. Have any of you guys played Lets Tap?

  10. Congrats you two!

  11. I wonder if it’s as good as the sequel?

  12. Hah. And a double “Hah!” to that.

  13. Speaking of which. WHERE MAI PODCAST THIS WEEK!

…And you guys better NOT skip out on Sonic Fanfic and/or Shining Force for the Sega Ages talk. I’m looking forward to that. And just heads up, while I’m not a “forum person” I do keep an active eye on the blog, although sometimes on certain days its rather in lack of better words, dull at times.

I NEED MEZ SOME MOER CLASSIC GAME REVIEWS!!11!!!1

  14. @korokun No podcast this week as my computer is away getting fixed so we decided to take a break this week. We’ll be back next week though.
