Sonic Colours video shows off multiplayer

…and there’s the first look at the 2 player mode of Sonic Colours. Looks neat huh? Should be a fun diversion from the main game at least.  I don’t know if I’ll get much use out of it unless it has online. If you can find a friend who’s willing to play then I’m sure there will be fun times all around. But what do you think? Are you excited to play through this mode or would you rather concentrate on the single player? Tell me in the comments, why don’t you?

  1. I like it. Reminds me of the multiplayer from Sonic 2. Hope it’s online so I can show Stevie who da hedgehog (me).

  2. Also EFF YEAH CHIPTUNE SOUNDTRACK!

  3. I’ve been pretty excited about this game but this vid sent me over the edge. Sonic with great music and platforming? It’s been over a decade since we last had that!

  4. @Electrium – Sonic Advance was released in 2002. It was the last good 2D Sonic game so far.

The power-ups and other sound effects made it a bit difficult to hear the music in this video. However, so far the music does sound good.

  5. Statement withdrawn! Eight years, then =P!

  6. This game looks really good! Glad it’s got multiplayer too, trying not get to hyped but it’s hard when everything I’ve seen from this game looks good so far.

  7. The delay between ‘I wanna use this powerup’ and *powerup deploys* looks irritating, but otherwise, it still appears to be delivering its sonic unleashed daytime promise.

  8. @Electrium – Sorry, that was a Samit-like correction. I just wanted to mention Sonic Advance to be honest.

  9. At times, this game’s graphics make it so hard for me to believe this is a Wii game. It’s good to finally know what that “Metal Sonic” planet is. I still wish Tails was the other player but it really doesn’t make a difference.

this looks really good. honestly there’s nothing about multiplayer in a sonic game that really catches the eye or makes it much more awesome, but just thinking of the possibilities. hopefully there are a couple wisps specific to multiplayer. i may have preordered this for the ridiculous hat, but i can’t wait to play it
