Sega and Platinum are making more games together

Here’s some good Sunday news for you! Platinum Games (Vanquish, Bayonetta and all that good stuff) are currently developing their fourth game with Sega, thus meaning their original contract has been fulfilled. However, there’s good news here because at TGS the studio’s producer, Atsushi Inaba, confirmed that “The relationship between Sega and Platinum games does not end with Vanquish.”

This is good news for those hoping for a Bayonetta 2, and personally I’m happy to find out that the studio is sticking with Sega for the time being. So there’s plenty to be happy about on this Sunday. Celebrate accordingly by playing one of the many fabulous games Platinum has to offer why don’t you?

  1. I need my Vanquish now.
I hope Sega treats them well though. I just have a bad feeling they might not use them well. PN03:2 anyone?
    Bayonetta 2 also? Yes please.
Or a Madworld 2? Please Please Please.

  2. Still haven’t played any of their games, but SEGA has been doing a pretty good job of partnering with strong third-parties, like tri-Ace for Resonance of Fate, to keep their street cred high. Good news.

  3. I played the demo for Vanquish. One word. AWSOME!
