Dreamcast Collection cover art unveiled

Relief for those on the forums worrying that it would just be a voucher with codes, the upcoming retail release of the Sega Dreamcast Collection had its boxart unveiled.

Can’t say I’m a fan of this. Sure, it’s neat to see the old Dreamcast box styling come back, but it just looks so bland and basic, you’d almost expect it to start off in one of those post-holiday Walmart bargain bins, especially compared to the rather nice Sonic Genesis Collection boxart. What are your thoughts? Hit us up in the comments.

  1. Ugh. What is going on with this release. No Jet Grind Radio? WTF. Plus they bundled in Sonic Adventure which is already available. Maybe that’s why they chose it.

Also Bass Fishing seems like another poor choice. Where is my fishing rod controller?

  2. Actually, all 4 of those are getting PSN releases, which makes this even more of a disappointment. So far there’s no special incentive to buy the disc.

  3. Less than exciting boxart for a sadly less than compelling collection

  4. QUICK WE NEED BOXART WHAT DO WE DO?!?!

    FISH-RODENT-TITS-CARS-GO!

OH YEAH AND THE SYSTEM HAD LONG CABLES!

  5. Heh, actually, if the DC controller were that long, I wouldn’t have needed to buy an extension cord…

  6. I like the box art a lot despite that long ass controller cord but it’s still a shame that this collection is as lackluster as it is.

  7. Art work as generic as the game selection.
