Wow, a lot of news posts this day! For all those looking forward to the Shinobi 3DS game, Sega has put up a new, longer Trailer that has quite some footage from the actual gameplay. I’m still not sure about the graphics/Artstyle, but the Arcade-like point systems should make the game interesting. Check out the full trailer after the jump!
Yeah, the points system good be interesting if implemented properly. I hope it is more than just a high score thing. Like maybe you can unlock things with a certain point total or something?
That part on the horse looks so good, can’t wait for that 3D throwback!
Watching the intro to that video really had me wanting to fire up the old Shinobi’s in sequential order. But the more I see of this game, the more I like it.
@grolt: I’ve always thought that’s how unlockables in games should be given, through the player skill and effort; not purchasing download codes. Great idea, hopefully Sega and other game companies pick up on that.
Yeah, Stoob, look how good it works in games like Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing. You want to play it that little bit extra just to unlock that next music track or level or whatever.
I always thought there should be some real-world reward for Achivements/Trophies too. It would be in Microsoft/Sony’s best interests, since the more achievements people get, the more they play that particular console (and the less they play another console) and the more people are seeing the advertising on the XBL dashboard or PSN store, the more they’re talking about games to friends, etc. Would be a win win.
Hahah, some of those scenes looked like Super Smash Bros. That was an odd sensation. Also, Shinobi looks like a deadly ballerina in that snapshot.
…Now I want to see a game involving a sword-wielding ballerina ninja. SHINOBERINA.
