The Dreamcast Marathon 4 AM (Pacific) update

Delirium may be starting to set in. I’m only 6 1/2 hours in and already my mind is starting to wander. I’m going to warn you now, from here on out my spelling and grammar will probably slowly degenerate to the level of a third grader. I apologize in advance.

In the past 2 hours I played Sega Bass Fishing and Soul Caliber, both with my Fishing Controller.

Playing Soul Caliber with the Fishing Controller should be a form of torture. I never thought I would find a motion control game that controlled worse then the Wii version of Thor. Trying to play the game in this fashion has taught me a lot about myself, mostly that I hate waggling my arms around. The only enjoyment I got out of the experience was watching my cat attack the cords as they wildly flailed around the room.

Sega Bass Fishing on the other hand was awesome, as usual. I can’t pinpoint what it is about this game that I enjoy so much. I find it especially odd that I like it considering how boring I find fishing in real life to be. Not much to say about this one, I found it just as solid as I always have.

I stopped eating by the way. I think when I get up to find some snacks again I will reach for some fruit so I don’t slowly die during the rest of this marathon.

Josh Newey had to go to work. However I don’t buy it for a second. I think he is secretly catching some sleep while I remain delirious on my couch from sleep deprivation. Today was probably not the best day for me to do this, I was at school for 12 hours before starting this marathon. However the Dreamcast has giving me hours and hours of enjoyment so this is the least I could do to repay it. Other than buying it that is.

Up next are two games I’ve owned for a long time but never played, Blue Stinger and Carrier. I’m not expecting much out of them but I’m looking forward to trying something new.
