Sega to hold Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown tournament

v666

Sega is due to treat fans next April 20th as plans are under way to hold a tournament for Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown. The contest will take place in LA at the Super Arcade with the help of the good people at Level Up. Money will be handed out to the best 16 contestants in what is set to be the first of many annual competitions dubbed as the ‘Sega Cup’.

The version being played is the PS3 edition so if you’re planning to try out your luck you may want to make sure you have a grasp on that port first. To help out fans Sega have also launched an app for iTunes which gives you a comprehensive guide for less than a dollar.

Personally I always love these kinds of events and I’m glad to hear that Sega is planning on making this a yearly venture. Remember you have until April to train. If you still aren’t sure on the game then you can always check out our very positive review on this very version. And of course we’ll let you know what’s happening with this competition closer to the actual event. Now get training, papa wants a new pair of shoes!
