Bayonetta 2 will only be on Wii U, so stop with the boo-hoos

Platinum Games designer Hideki Kamiya announced that Bayonetta 2 is staying a Wii U exclusive unless Nintendo says otherwise. This announcement has come as a result of people still clamoring and complaining over the Wii U’s exclusivity, and following the recent announcements of both Rayman Legends and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge going from Wii U exclusives to multi-console releases. Kamiya had this to say,

We are a developer. Nintendo are the ones kind enough to fund and publish our The Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2 projects.

This also came from a translated tweet from Kamiya later on,

So if Nintendo says, ‘We are publishing Bayonetta 2 on PS3/360,’ then it will happen. So please go ask them, not us.

So for the sake of the man and his company’s sanity, please stop telling them to port Bayonetta 2. Though on the other hand, it’s really amazing how upset the gaming community is over the fact that they may have to purchase a Nintendo console to play a good game. Oh but I jest. 1. Not everyone is able afford buying multiple consoles, so I can definitely understand people are upset about this. Neither Nintendo and Platinum Games are at fault..It’s really Sega that didn’t believe in the project. If you look at the disaster that is Aliens: Colonial Marines, you really have to wonder why Sega wasn’t willing to fund a sequel to a game that ultimately sold over a million copies and has a 90% Metacritic score. Let’s just hope Bayonetta 2 actually sells on the Wii U.

    • It’s sorta weird to me, because MadWorld was Wii only and holy crap that game would have done better if it had a multi-system release. You think they would have learned from that wha-2005 mistake? A great game that barely saw an audience compared to what it could have seen.

      Woulda coulda shoulda though.
