Israeli arcades are exactly the same as ours, who would have thunk it?

Sega Addicts is a global organisation with HQ’s in America, Europe, Papua New Guinea, Zambia and, if the Sega Addicts space program gets our grant approved by the Russian Federal Space Agency, the Moon.

But despite our best attempts at world domination, some regions of our planet have remained out of range of the Sega Addicts orbital weapons platform.

Israel and the Middle East in general isn’t a region of the world I would associate with gaming. Unfortunately for me, my narrow-mindedness has been highlighted by a series of Youtube videos by Israeli arcade fan Gamefun29 which give tours of different Israeli arcades.

The arcades Gamefun29 shows put any of the arcades I grew up with to shame and feature a fantastic variety of different arcade genres. Going through the videos I’ve spotted different versions of Sega Rally, Sega Touring Car Championship and OutRun 2, which just goes to show the ensuring and widespread popularity of Sega’s arcade racing games.

It’s surprising how closely the world of Middle Eastern gaming mirrors our own, don’t you think? Maybe you live in a non-Western country and can give us a run down of your local arcades? Let us know in the comments section below!
