I racked my brain to think of a Planes, Trains, and Automobiles joke, but nothing happened, and we are all better people for it.

Anyway, Jamie Lowes has an impressive pedigree involving 2 Sega Rally games, MotorStorm: Arctic Edge, and DiRT: Showdown, and even involvement on the Sega Rally 3 arcade cabinet. Lowes has stepped away from the mainstream to create his own indie game company, VAMflax and with it a new game entitled Chopper Mike. As you can see in the video above, Chopper Mike is a charming little helicopter-based game involving gem collection. The game reminds me of a mix between Marble Maddness, and the Jungle Strike series. It’s also worth pointing out that the game has no in-game purchase system, but is filled with 48 levels and three different difficulties.

Running for only $1.99, the game is available on Android and iOS, with plans of a PC, Mac, and OUYA release in the future.
