Sonic Lost World trailer looks like Sonic X-treme

The first gameplay trailer of Sonic Lost World has been released on IGN’s Youtube channel. Sonic must protect his world from six pesky guardians as he run, jumps and ashes through strangely shaped lands. Sonic Lost World will be released on the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS.

Basically, Mario Galaxy + Sega = Sonic Lost World a.k.a “Sonic X-treme 2013

I’m going to bit my tongue and sleep on this before I voice my opinions, but Sonic Lost World sure looks odd. What do you lot think? Leave a comment below and let us know!

By the way, isn’t it funny that even though IGN secured (paid for) this trailer before other news outlets, they still managed to call the game “Sonic Lost Worlds” even though the trailer itself clearly names the game “Sonic Lost World”? My views, not Sega Addicts’.

  1. I am officially more excited about this game. After Unleashed, Colors and Generations, I’ve been hoping they’d try something somewhat new with the formula.

  2. I’m so nervous for this, because it’s going away from the awesome formula that Sonic Generations set.

Also, I really don’t want to buy a Wii U, but darn it this may change that opinion.

  3. it is a sad day for me althought i already knew it but i cannot believe it THIS GAME IS NEVER COMING OUT FOR PC!!! fine i ´ll start saving for a wii u

    • Lets be honest though, Sonic Generations was the only Sonic game to come out on PC for a while, bar spin-offs and remakes.

I think Sega and Nintendo will do just fine.

  4. Wow, how unexpected. I think it looks very interesting, colorful, and fun. The gameplay reminds me of the Sonic Dash game somewhat. And it mentions new moves like wall running and climbing…..I’m pretty sure he could already do that stuff in Sonic Adventure 2.
