Sega, Creative Assembly and author David Gibbins have thrown more fuel on the Total War: Rome II hype-fire by making the first chapter of the tie-in novel Total War Rome: Destroy Carthage readable online for free.

The first chapter is in fact the prologue to Total War Rome: Destroy Carthage and gives a fictional, yet historically accurate account of the Roman Empire’s victory over the Macedonians at the Battle of Pynda. In fact, this is the very same chapter that was given as physical samplers at Rezzed 2013, and is the chapter we covered in our preview of Total War Rome: Destroy Carthage.

Total War Rome: Destroy Carthage and Total War: Rome II will both be released on September 3rd of this year. The prologue can be read through this link. Have a read, check out our preview and us know what you think by leaving a comment below!
