Rhythm Thief and the Paris Caper Removed from iOS App Store

Rhythm-Thief-11

Less than a full day after release, Sega has removed Rhythm Thief and the Paris Caper from the iOS Apps Store because of bugs. Sega’s official statement reads:

“An unexpected problem has been discovered in the version of Rhythm Thief that was available yesterday on the Apple App Store, so we have removed it temporarily from the store as we work on a fix.

“Our development team is hard at work to update the game and it will be back online very soon. Anyone who has purchased the game already will be able to play it as soon as it is back. We will keep you updated and we thank you in advance for your continued patience.”

Rhythm Thief and the Paris Caper is the iOS adaptiation of the brilliant and flawed 3DS title, Rhythm Thief and the Emperor’s Treasure. The original had a wonderful blend of story telling integrated into the rhythm games itself rarely seen since Space Channel 5. Here’s hoping it’s back up for sale soon!
