Looks like Alien: Isolation “exclusive” DLC isn’t so “exclusive” afterall

alienssssss

So, remember how Alien: Isolation was going to have some DLC only available if you pre-ordered it through GameStop? Looks like that is not actually the case. Creative Assembly announced on their Alien Iso Facebook page that

…we do plan to release both Crew Expendable and Last Survivor at a later date and we’ll have more details for you guys on that shortly.

This is awesome, but also somewhat crappy news. This is awesome, because we will have access to some sweet DLC no matter where we grab the game, but lame, because what should be free will actually have a price later on.

It’s somewhat fitting that this article pops up right after the whole GameStop exclusive pre-order news, and is the main reason I’m not worried for the future of pre-order exclusive DLC. Is anything really exclusive anymore? Shut up, Master Chief.
