Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity is revealed for Japan

While all us who speak English are still waiting for the next Phantasy Star Portable game, Japan will be laughing at you. Not only because they got the game like 100,000 years ago, but also because they’re even getting a new version with an extra character and the addition of a fifth race! That’s right fellow westerner, Japan gets another presumably better version of a game you like! Be jealous.

So apart from what we already know (which isn’t much) Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity remains a mystery to us. I’m assuming more tantalising details will be revealed soon, but for now you’ll just have to continue waiting for the original Phantasy Star Portable 2, with the knowledge that Japan is getting a better version very soon. Sleep tight.

  1. Kinda sucksfor US consumers with most psp and ps3 ehm white knight etc coming out late or really really late. I dont understand why is there such a big delay ?? Marketing ?? Translating ??hmm

  2. Why does Japan have to make so many awesome games that we never see over here/ don’t see until like a bajillion years after its Japanese release? It wouldn’t be so painful if there were more creative and interesting US developers. This also reminds me that I need to play some Phantasy Star games.

  3. Because American shoppers want games about dudes with stubble shooting brown people. And that’s all Gamestop wants to give them.

  4. Oh. You mean “hardcore” shooters? 😛 Obviously COD is the pinnacle of gaming “hardcoreness.”
