Crazy taxi gets XBLA/ PSN trailer

We all know what Crazy Taxi looks like. But what does it look like on XBLA and PSN? Well if you watched the above trailer then you already know, you lucky boy!

Personally, I can’t wait to play this again. Crazy Taxi for me had the perfect balance of arcade fun and harming innocent civilians. Add some corny rock music and you have yourself a neat title. But what about you? Will you be picking this up when it gets ported to your favourite downloadable services? Tell me in the comments or I’ll do something crazy! Get it? Crazy? Screw it, my puns are wasted on you.

I’ll guess this will be the PC version as well. Could have sworn I saw Tower Records but went by too fast.

  2. Not hearing The Offspring play after that intro immediately turned me off to this port. I know they aren’t as popular now as they were then, but this game’s soundtrack was perfect with them and Bad Religion.

I’ll definitely check out the demo though. And speaking of Dreamcast ports, I must get back to Sonic Adventure! ^_^

  3. Yeah, it isn’t the same without the “yeah yeah yeah yeah yeahhhhhhh”-ing on the soundtrack, but the song they used for the trailer isn’t half bad. Not a must buy for me, since my Dreamcast is still hooked up and through VGA, but it might be worth trying down the line when SEGA does their inevitable price drop.

  4. Again, it’ll probably allow for custom soundtracks, so you can get your YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH on regardless.

  5. I have to agree with Scotty. The fact that The Offspring was removed from the soundtrack is deplorable. I know licensing and all that, but they made the game half of what it was. It was the killer soundtrack and eventful places you had to travel to that made Crazy Taxi, and they have removed it all.

There is a very good chance that this will bomb, making other Dreamcast ports harder to get to XBLA. Let’s hope SEGA made the right move with this one.

  6. What is wierd about this is this is a japenese trailer but you see ‘press the start button’ and the character’s voice are in english.

  7. Bit of a let down that none of the original songs are returning but I think that was expected due to licensing issues.

If they can allow a custom soundtrack, that will be fantastic.

  8. If it has custom soundtracks then this is a no-brainer. As long as I have some speedy punk-rock to listen to while I fly over the interstate then I’ll be happy. That sense of urgency is needed! 8D

  9. I still think I would only pay $5 for it. After Sonic Adventures port I don’t think I would enjoy going back to the past unless a low price or it was decently ported. I wonder what all the ad space and soundtrack would be now also.
