Sega-published games included in BAFTA nominations

The official list of nominations for the 8th British Academy Video Games Awards has today been released by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). Among the nominees are Sega, as a publisher, with two nominations in the Strategy category (Football Manager 2012  and Total War: SHOGUN 2) and one nomination in the Performance category (Togo Igawa’s role as ‘Diplomat, Advisor and Military General’ in Total War: SHOGUN 2).

All eyes will be on Rocksteady Studios and Team Bondi, for their respective games Batman: Arkham City and L.A. Noir. each with a whopping nine nominations. Other big players include Naughty Dog, with seven nominations for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and Media Molecule, with six nominations for LittleBigPlanet 2 including Stehphen Fry’s nomination for Best Performance. The winners will be awarded on March 16th, 2012.
