Sega's brand new IP is Jack Lumber on the iOS

The folks at Sega really are digging their heels into the mobile market these days, aren’t they? With all the success of Japanese titles like Miku Flick, who could blame ’em? While I wasn’t expecting a mobile game for their latest reveal, I can’t say I’m shocked in the least.

With Gamescom in full swing, Sega has revealed their newest title as Jack Lumber, the latest game by Owlchemy Labs. From the description, the game sounds like it utilizes the addictive, pick-up-and-play flavor of certain iOS staples like Fruit Ninja, letting you chop hunks of wood as they fly through the air. With other little touches like “Lumbertime,” customizable features, and more, it’s looking like quite the entertaining little time-waster.

While I’m always looking for something a little more substantial, this looks like a nice bit of fun. At the very least, it looks like it’s booming with character, and there’s nothing more congruent with Sega than that. Jack Lumber is currently $0.99 for a limited time on iTunes.
