Do not pass "Go," Do not collect 200 rings: Sonic Monopoly board revealed

Typically I avoid playing Monopoly at all costs, as I know there are better things I can do with four hours of my life. However, with the reveal of this new Sonic Monopoly game board, I may have to set aside a night in hopes of ruling planet Mobius with my stylin’ hotel chains. The board itself looks very nice with its vibrant colors and in-game artwork. Hit the jump to see a bigger shot of the board and all the levels that made it into the final cut.

It’s interesting to note that only a few retro levels made the cut, while levels from Sonic Riders were somehow thrown into the mix. Either way, I know I will be picking up this awesome game. Maybe it will somehow make the game of Monopoly go faster? Oh but I jest. What do you think fair readers? I call dibs on the Sonic shoes game piece!

  1. Splash Hill and Mad Gear…? Are you serious? That’s what I’m going to be building my death-trap hotels on?

    • Like it or not, that game exists. Personally, I’m surprised to see Sweet Mountain and Planet Wisp, but no Spagonia from Sonic Unleashed.

      • It’s not that the levels are there, it’s the fact that they’re the two most expensive sites to purchase. Personally I would have expected Green Hill Zone, or Sky Sanctuary, you know, something classic.

  2. It’s funny that Jail is always the same in any version of Monopoly lol

    • Heh, maybe they’re scared to give a negative connotation to any part of a license. Personally, I would have loved to see Sonic 2006 or Sonic 3D Blast be the jail.
