British holiday camp Butlins debuts new Sega 6D motion ride XD Theatre

The less those not British know about Butlins the better; we’ll just say it’s an affordable British holiday camp that doesn’t bring back enthusiastic memories of my youth, except scampering away into an arcade room to pour money in RoboCop. However, the company’s flagship site in Minehead recently debuted Sega Amusement’s new 6D motion-ride arcade-unit, the XD Theatre. I don’t even know what six dimensions could consist of, but this is how it’s described:

Turn any location into a real time motion theater with Triotech’s new XD THEATER, a 6D motion simulated thrill ride that transcends time, space and imagination.

Triotech, the unit’s developers, should probably be working for NASA with craftsmanship transcending all three of those fields, but in the mean time check out Sega’s new Transformers arcade unit and Orbi, the new BBC and Sega project, because Sega Amusements mean serious business right now.
