Phantasy Star Online 2 gets a Super Hard mode with next update

More updates are coming for Phantasy Star Online 2 in Japan. This time around there is a new “Super Hard,” difficulty mode added to the Forest and Floating Continents areas, which is shown in the video above.

Along with a new difficulty, the skill level cap has been bumped up to 65. There are also new rare enemies, such as the crazy lightning lion lizard thing (apparently it’s called Tagamikazuchi, but I like my name better), and new “Interrupt Events.” The Interrupt Events are random and require players to either defend, attack, or follow another form of objective while playing. Along with all of these additions, there are also new costumes and hairstyles.

You have no idea how much it continues to pain me to talk about this game still only available IN JAPAN.

Deep breaths… happy thoughts… It’s ok, little Vita. You’ll have a new friend someday.

Really though, for those playing the game this is an awesome update. Has anyone tried it yet?
