Announced last month, House of the Dead: Overkill – The Lost Reels has now released on iOS for you iPods, iPads, and iPhones. Don’t worry though, Android users! It will be in your hands soon enough. The game features a virtual joystick, with an unlockable “Frenzy Tap,” mode that will then allow for players to simply tap the screen to shoot zombies. I can definitely see this game doing well on a portable device, and hope that I can get my hands on it soon enough. It goes for $4.99 on the app store, which is a bit surprising since I thought Sega was finally grasping the concept of cheaper iOS games. The $4.99 tag doesn’t even get you the entire game as you actually have to pay another $1.99 for the final chapter: Naked Terror. I’m not saying that the game should be free, but you can get it for just $15 on a console. But hey! Why am I complaining? It’s a portable House of the Dead. It’s the best way to prepare for the on-coming zombie apocalypse, right? So who’s grabbing this before they have to grab their boomstick?

You’re complaining because Sega’s inconsistent pricing strategy is confusing for customers and embarrassing for Sega. You did well to bring it up.
Yay I’m not just whining! Thanks, dude!
