Sega is spearheading a new initiative to cross promote mobile Japanese developers with 15 other companies including Capcom and Taito. The 15 companies have a combined user-base of more than 20m, with the long-term plan supposedly involving doubling that figure through the recruitment of other companies. Reports are suggesting the group was formed to avoid revenue sharing with other leading network companies in Japan such as Apple and Google.
The initiative is scheduled to take flight this coming fall.
