On the recent Virtual On memorial talk show Sega designer Mori Yasuhiro hinted at a possible sequel. He made two very interesting comments regarding the future of the series:
Virtual On is still alive!
Something might wake up [on Virtual On’s 20th anniversary]
The series will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2015. So, I guess we’ll just have to wait and hope it’s not another F2P mobile phone game. Virtual On deserves better.
