A Mega Drive emulator… On an eReader?

A creative Youtube user by the name of has released a video showing Sonic the Hedgehog 2 running via an emulator on his Android based Nook Simple Touch. According to the video’s description the eReader, running Andriod 2.1, has been unlocked and is also running an app named NoRefresh to disable the device from constantly refreshing.

The results are surprising, considering the device’s primary purpose is displaying static text. Sonic 2 seems to run pretty quickly and, despite the game being monochrome, doesn’t look all that bad. The user describes a delay in button pressing and it’s pretty clear by the video that the emulator is nothing more than an experiment, and is certainly no alternative to the Sega Nomad.
