While a lot of Mickey’s recent stabs at the world of videogames have failed to reach their towering potential, few can deny that Disney’s high-pitched mascot once stood proudly on the top of the crowded platformer heap. If you own a Genesis/Mega Drive (and of course you do), you know exactly what I’m talking about.
That’s why the headline for this post should have you giddily clapping your white-gloved hands. That’s right: Brazil’s ratings board has listed Castle of Illusion, arguably the best Mickey game ever made, as coming to XBLA, PSN, PS Vita, and Wii U. In light of Sega’s spate of Vintage Collection release, logic dictates that Mickey’s platforming romp could be packaged with one or two other Mickey Mouse classics.
No word on whether this is the Master System or Genesis/Mega Drive version, but either way, you ought to be very damn excited.
