All around nice guy and friend of this site, Aaron Webber seems to have been promoted from community manager, to brand manager on the latest Sonic game, Generations. The news comes from a recent blog post he made where he revealed that with this new promotion he will be focused more on the actual Sonic games, with less interaction from the community side of things.
Still we here at Sega Addicts are very glad to hear this news, and hope he brings a lot more to the Sonic franchise with this new position. So from me and everyone else at this site, congrats and good luck with managing Sonic’s brand!

Good on him. He’s definitely the kind of person who deserved it. I wish him well.
After meeting Aaron at PAX prime and hearing him on the podcast, I definitely agree he is the right person for this job. He seems to understand the importance of keeping Sonic genuine. I wish him the best as well.
PS – what happened to the forums?
@ scotty, I’ve been wondering about that myself.
I have no idea myself and I’m supposed to be one of the ones in charge of em. Nobody’s told me a thing.
Sorry about not informing you about the forums. I went there one day last week and it had been overloaded with spambots. I was attempting to clean it up and realized that in the last two weeks there had been almost no new posts besides mine so I decided to just take it down until someone came up with a more attention drawing forum. Besides spambots each day we were getting sometimes no hits at all on the thing so it seemed kind of pointless.
😀 Awesome! Go Aaron!
Could you make the community managers mods? It would give them the ability to get rid of spam as well. Also, maybe there could be community events and such. No idea what those could be, but….er…yes. XD
I came by the other day after a while of being away (the past month or so has been crazy for me) and the forums were asploded. I was major sad faec.
The forums will return don’t worry! Right now we just gotta.figure out what we want to do with them. I’d like to go with a completely different forum platform than we’ve been using as there some much better ones out there.
