In this episode we discuss demos of the past, present, and future. From the demo VHS tapes for the Master System to the downloadable demos of today, there’s no demo that escapes our in-depth discussions. Oh, and there may be some Binary Domain demo discussion in there somewhere as well.
Cool topic, looking forward to listening to this one. I have some very fond memories of all those demos from the Saturn era. That “Choice Cuts” disc that you got with the system I practically have memorized. The “Panzer Dragoon” demo was so good (the 2nd level of the game) that I didn’t even buy the first game and just skipped to the second because I could just keep playing that level over and over again.
Thanks Grolt. It ended up being a fun topic to talk about. I spent just as much time playing demos on my Dreamcast as I did full games and some of my favorite games on the system are ones I’ve never even actually purchased. I can’t even count the amount of times I played through the Dynamite Cop demo with a friend.
