I hope you remember this awesome marketing scheme. In a time where Sonic the Hedgehog was on everything from pasta cans to bubble gum wrappers, anything with a “ring” shape was logical free game. And what better ring-shaped candy would fit the Sonic marketing madness than Life Savers? Well, someone still has an unopened package of the lovely candy from the 90s, and was able to sell them on eBay for over $15 after the shipping costs. I’m both disgusted and amazed by this. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to look through my shoebox to see if any of those Game Gears are still sealed.
