If you happen to play a lot of Sonic on your iPhone 5, you’ve been in luck lately.
In addition to the new Christian Whitehead remakes recently being optimized for the iPhone 5’s widescreen, Sega has recently done the same for Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode II for iOS. This update brings the game to version 2.0 and looks wonderful with the extra real estate.
You can grab the universal game on the iOS app store right now for $4.99 but Sega has been known to frequently put their games on sale, particularly Sonic games. This update is yet more proof of Sega’s aggressive mobile release strategy over the last year, with much attention given to 2.0 optimizations and reboots to these classic games.
Hopefully Episode I will be following suit very soon.
