Total War: Rome II's first gameplay trailer is simply stunning

Sega has just released the trailer you see above, along with this description of the game’s story:

The year is 146BC, brilliant tactician Scipio Aemilianus is dispatched by Rome to break the three-year-long siege of Carthage, an unforgivable blight on the glory of the growing Empire. Ruthless determination and an almost suicidal amphibious assault is required, but the young consul is uncomfortably aware that the price of victory may be much higher than the senate realizes.

As you might expect from anything done by Creative Assembly, Rome II is already looking stunningly beautiful. I don’t know about you, but I didn’t even realize there was gameplay in this trailer until I was finished watching it. The visuals are just that pretty.

Even with the limited information we currently have, the latest entry in the Total War series is already looking like the perfect continuation to the fan favorite original. Anyone frothing at the mouth yet?
