Sega Set for Starring Role at IAAPA

Next week’s IAAPA Attractions Expo will see Sega’s largest presence to date. With an estimated 3,600 square feet of floor space, pride of place will be given to Showdown. Based on the Codemaster’s title DiRT Showdown, Sega’s new experience will feature a 100 inch HD projection display with Pivot Motion Technology, this allows the screens to move and shake, creating the impression of being in medias res. Sega is a pioneer in this field since as far back as 1999, when the arcade version of Yu Suzuki’s F355 Challenge gave a similarly immersive experience via its three screens and wraparound view of the racecourse. In total 29 titles will be displayed by Sega at the expo, which takes place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, USA, from November 18-21.
