Sega have announced the release of Go Dance for the iOS. Go Dance is an innovative motion-based rhythm game that will let you get your groove on where ever you are. Given that you are running iOS6 or higher, the game will utilise Apple’s FaceTime camera to capture the motions of the dancer. Being available on iPhones, iPod’s, and iPads, the title is expected to be released in both English and Japanese sometime in the fall.
Despite the fact I am excited to see Kinect-like technology on smartphones and tablets, I am unsure how Sega expect Go Dance to be played. Are we expected to hold our devices out in front of us while we dance? And if so, how easily will we be able to see the screen? Whereas I celebrate the technological advancement, is it really practical to have a motion-based rhythm game on iOS? Tell me your thoughts below.
