One of the biggest mistakes made with the original Persona 4 Arena was the region locking Atlus imposed. While this wasn’t a huge deal with the American and Japanese releases, as both were very close together, European fans were unable to play the game until May of 2013 unless they owned a Japanese or American system, leading to a large backlash against the game’s eventual release.
However, Atlus won’t be making that mistake with Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. In a tweet on the official Atlus USA account, it was revealed to the delight of many that P4AU will be region free, effectively clearing up one of the biggest worries western, especially European, fans had about the game.
Ultimax has been getting rave reviews from players at EVO this weekend, and now that the game is import friendly, will this effect how you feel about picking the game up? Let us know in the comments!
