After Friday’s earthquake and tsunami, much of Japan is still in ruin. Sega has pledged its efforts to support recovery in the region. From March 11-18, all revenue raised from the Football Manager Handheld 2011 app for the iOS will be donated to a relief fund. Sega has yet to decide which charity the proceeds will go to.
I am delighted to see Sega supporting Japan in their time of need. Would you consider purchasing Football Manager Handheld to support Japan’s recovery efforts, or do you find it unethical to receive incentive in exchange for charity?

Another reason I wish I had an iPad/iPod Touch. Though I’d just buy the game and then get rid of it. XD
It’s awesome that Sega’s doing this though. Although I wish they’d put in money themselves.
This is great to see, and gives me another reason to love Sega. Every little bit helps, donations, charities and the like. While I don’t think I’ll be going the ‘Sega’ route this time (already utilizing my own church’s relief efforts), I’m glad they are calling attention and giving people more opportunities to help. It’s so heartbreaking to see all the footage
I hope this is for the better good at least! I’ve always given Sega the benefit of the doubt though…lol
Very true! I had not thought of it from that angle. It’s pretty awesome that Sega is giving additional opportunities for others to contribute in addition to the traditional relief means.
Lol! That’s one way of contributing. 😉
