When asked in an interview whether or not Xseed would be interested in localizing Yuji Naka’s new game, ‘Rodea: The Sky Soldier’, Ken Berry, Director of Publishing at Xseed, answered the following:
Rodea still seems a way off and we want to see how it is received and how it progresses as a final game. We are definitely interested in pursuing those […] titles.
That certainly sounds reassuring to some degree. If the game does well enough in Japan it gets a translation! Check out the full interview in the source, since it gives you a nice insight into localisation processes, which has become a hot topic ever since ‘Project Rainfall’.

Hmm, seems more like a PC response rather than one of genuine interest. You’d think with the concept and pedigree behind it they’d back a localization without hesitation. I mean, if they could do a multi-platform release for Ivy the Kiwi, you’d think localizing this would be a no brainer…
You never know how well game sales will fare in Japan; sometimes it does better overseas.
first half minute hero now this! im starting to love xseed
