It’s been a long time since Yuji Naka and Prope have said anything about the spectacular looking Rodea and the Sky Soldier. Originally announced over two years ago for the Wii and 3DS and later confirmed to be finished by Yuji Naka, the game continues to remain unreleased.
Well, we finally have an update although it doesn’t give too many details on an official release date. Yoshimi Yasuda, President of Kadowaka Games, has revealed that the development delay was caused by the adaptation of the Wii’s control scheme to the 3DS. In fact, I’m going to read between the lines and assume that the Wii version is completely scrapped in favor of an exclusive handheld release. The game is supposedly 70% finished according to Yasuda so hopefully we’ll be hearing more soon.
Has anyone else been looking forward to Rodea? Are you a fan of Prope’s previous games?
