Originally set for a release in 2011, the follow-up to the classic Dreamcast MMORPG Phantasy Star Online, has been pushed back to 2012. The feedback that the developers received during the recent Alpha-test led to this decision and the producer, Satoshi Sakai assures that many improvements will be made. They also announced a second Alpha-test for early next year. All those who participated in the first Alpha test can also enter the second one.
It’s always great to see that the developers actually care enough about a game to release it in a good state, instead of rushing it for the original release date. Let’s hope that the quality is further improved, although, judging from what we’ve seen so far, it looks pretty good already.
