As previously expected to be coming soon, Sonic the Hedgehog 4, including both Episode I and II, has finally made it to the OUYA Discover store.
Joining the likes of The Cave and Jamie Lowes of Sega Rally‘s Chopper Mike of the extended Sega family, Sonic 4 marks the first major Sega release on the indie platform. Accommodating the console’s free-to-play model across the board – in some form or another – each episode will feature a limited selection of free levels and will be $6.99.
We’d initially suspected a Genesis emulator would sneak in with the growing list of apps but it instead turned out just to be SNES; although I wouldn’t bank on it, if a bunch of Sega emulators hit the market I think the temptation would be too much not to get a OUYA myself. Anyone else got one or interested in getting one?
