Hello there! Did this post catch you off guard? Due to popular demand we’ve decided to post these listener question obtaining blog posts at the beginning of the week rather than the day of recordation. So, Thursday night is still the usual podcast recording night but you’ll have a few days extra time to think of some good questions and submit them. It’s a win-win situation! Unless you’re allergic to submitting early questions, in which case I suggest you avoid doing that even if you’re parents try and make you.
Anyway, we’ll be discussing Sega news as usual, as well as, this week’s Sonic Gem, The Adventures of Willy Beamish on Sega CD. Feel free to leave your questions/comments below on any topic you wish!
I used to play CD’s on my Sega CD, and remember there was an option for CD+G. I had a soundtrack that stated it supported CD+G but I could never get it to work on my Sega CD (or Saturn for that matter)
Anyone have any luck with that?
And I’m assuming Mike had to visit the doctor…and that he had been a naughty boy. Any chance we get the details on that?
Thanks for the fore-notice, fellas! And once again, Tom proves to be the king of the brush. So funny.
Questions:
Willy Beamish dreams of playing in the “Nintari” video game championships. Weren’t Sierra biting the hand that feeds by not making it Segtendo or something? I mean, the game never even came out on an Atari or Nintendo console!
I liked the idea of having little things to do, like playing with the laser balls (doesn’t sound right) while you waited during load times. Are there any other games that have little games to play during load times?
Is there still a charm to point and click games, or has that ship sailed in today’s video game world?
His pet frog’s name is “Horny”. Discuss.
The next time Willy has to go out of town for summer holidays, would it be a good idea to entrust his pet frog with his kind, oafish neighbor, Big the Cat?
I only played Willy Beamish for a short time about a year ago on an emulator, not the cool game that I thought it was from the screenshots I saw in magazines as a wee lad, so no questions about that.So I guess that I will just ask about, what do you think about Sega West supposedly stopping production of games for the PSP, do you think we will ever see localizations of Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity, Yakuza Black Panther and most importantly Valkyria Chronicles III (their are others such as 7th Dragon 2020, but we didn’t get the first on the DS either).
If Sega made a new console for this next generation what features would you like it to have and how would it compete (the market strategy) with the wii u/3ds/ps vita it could be a portable or a home system and what would be the first games to come out for the system (this can include 3rd party developers including Nintendo)?
also do you think it will gain more sales then microsoft Nintendo or Sony?
and do you think they should call it the Dream drive in europe and the Gene cast in america featuring different coloured console Logos?
I would definitely include a working CD+G feature so I can finally see what is on this old soundtrack!!! :p
HOW DO WE PRONOUNCE YOUR NAME?
Kris, I wrote Alex when I won the last contest and told him that it is pronounced rice ric twice. My name is Eric Rice and in high school I used to run around for no apparent reason screaming Eric Rice twice, so I changed it up a little and having been using it everywhere since.
I have a question:
What do you guys think of that EA/Sega deal for Japan? Also, have any of you guys played Shadows of the Damned yet? If yes, what do you think about it?
This isn’t a question.
We should all play Spiral Knights together sometime.
I like it!
Anyone celebrate Nights’ 15th anniversary or check out the OC remix soundtrack?
What do you guys think of the reserve bonus announced for Sonic Generations? http://www.xboxresource.com/viewing.php?t=5153
many years ago the gameworks in seattle had a fighting game where two people stood on these panels and pretended to fight each other and the game would recognize your moves like kinect and make your characters fight on the screen. idk what it was called but hav u ever seen this game? what did u think of it?
another question.
if u were having nightmares and nights had to save you what evil bosses would nights hav to defeat?
Maybe it was the Virtua Fighter Eye Toy thing for PS2? I actually had fun playing that
maybe, it was on a blue stage thing and at a gameworks. there were 2 circle pads u stood on
I wish all you at SEGA Addicts have a happy Tanabata! =3
Sounds like it could be the Activator, Josh, but I keep telling myself that was only just a nightmare…
