Today on Sega’s blog, they’ve posted a neat little interview with the team behind Sonic Generations’ stellar soundtrack. Fans were asked to send in questions for Jun Senoue, Tomoya Ohtani, Kenichi Tokoi, and Alex Makhlouf, and today we got those answered, as the team goes into their processes of remixing classic tracks, discuss their favorite remixes, and reflect on how it felt to be included on such a project.
The Generations soundtrack is easily my most played album in my media library, and I absolutely loved getting some insight into how it came about. If you loved the soundtrack, or just love Sonic music in general, it’s a great read that’s very much worth your time.

Alex from Cash Cash sure does love City Escape. I completely agree with him though and personally feel that City Escape completely sums up everything that was good about Sonic’s adventures in the first decade of the 21st century. Listening to both of Generation’s remixes for the first times actually made me a little emotional.
The City Escape remix actually kind of sounds like it is in the same family of the Perfect Strangers TV theme. Not sure if that’s a good thing.
Every single piece of music in this game sounds amazing!!
Couldn’t agree more, Doc.
