If you’re eager to get your hands on High Voltage’s big shooter sequel, you may not like what I’m about to say. It unfortunately looks like Conduit 2’s release has been pushed to the first quarter of 2011. Ah well, these things happen.
If it makes you feel any better though, the delay is happening for a pretty good cause. With the extra time, High Voltage will be including support for yet another control scheme – The Classic Controller/Classic Controller Pro. If there’s anything that the series has done right, it’s providing a bevy of customizable control options, and adding one option more to the mix will just sweeten the pot. This should help to attract the XBoxers and PS3ers out there who aren’t really feeling the point-and-shoot love of games like Metroid Prime 3 and the original Conduit.
Now that it’s going to support a more standard FPS control scheme, I’m curious to see how Conduit 2 will stand up next to other dual stick shooters of the same ilk. What do you folks think?

From what I’ve seen so far it looks like Conduit 2 might have a chance against other dual-stick FPS’s. The first game definitely had a generic singleplayer campaign but High Voltage seems to be trying to change that for the sequel.
I’m excited to play it next year to see what they’ve improved.
AHHHH NOOOO i was really really looking forward to getting it november 2nd 🙁 well at least theyre making more improvements, theyre adding the classic controller pro! WOOOOH! my friends wanted that terribly in the sequel, and now theyre delivering it 😀 i think it will be just as great as the other dual stick games (halo, COD) it will easily stand out as the best shooter of wii of all time.
