Archie Comics will be publishing a Sonic Legacy Graphic Novel Anthology composed of the first 16 issues of the Sonic the Hedgehog comic book, which first released in 1993. This book also includes the hard-to-find Sonic “mini-series,” which is composed of issues 0-3. So in all, this book contains the first 20 issues of the Sonic the Hedgehog Archie Comics series. The entire anthology (all 512 pages) is done in black and white to keep the cost of the collection down to a very awesome $14.95 and is available for pre-order at the Archie Comics website. There are also a ton of other Sonic archiving comic series in production for the purpose of bringing everyone up to speed with literally everything Archie Comics has published with the Sonic characters.
If you needed any reason to start reading the Sonic the Hedgehog comic books, this collection would be it. You could also pick up every single “Sonic Archive” volume in full color at the previously mentioned link, but that method would definitely cost you more than $15. If you are as “awesome” as me, you will be buying these comics for the third time, because my childhood will never stay dormant.
So what do you think? Will you be treating yourself to an early holiday gift? Or in the case of this year, perhaps a celebratory Sonic birthday gift?
