Readers of this site probably don’t know (or care), but I have always been a bit of a closet fanatic for good, lengthy RPGs. Problem is, my life never lined up in a way that was particularly conducive to the sleepless, brain-numbing play sessions that really good RPGs demand. When I was a kid, I couldn’t afford the games. Now I just have no time.
That’s why the iOS release of Lunar Silver Star Story, one of few great RPGs to hit the Sega CD and Sega Saturn, has me so elated. Developer SoMoGa originally announced the port all the way back in April of 2011. After months of radio silence, they’ve once again come out of the shadows to reveal that we’d be getting an iOS version of the game some time this week. No word yet on a specific day or price, but we’re bound to hear more very soon.
Now, to rearrange my entire schedule…

I may grab this since I know the Saturn version will never cost me anything less than one month’s worth of groceries. I kinda wanna eat.
Random story, I just stumbled onto my Sega CD copy which I thought was missing for life. It was in a normal CD case coupled with Final Fight CD. YIkes!
