One of the things that has struck me most prominently about the upcoming Alien: Isolation is the call back to 80’s era sci-fi aesthetics. If you’ve seen any screenshots of the new horror title you can probably tell there’s something a little different from your usual sci-fi fare, mainly that it harkens back to the way 80’s movies saw the future.
There’s more discussed in the above developer diary obviously, so give that a look if you want to check out more about this unique choice of art direction! And let us know what you think too. We love it when you spew your opinions all over our page in a messy collective sludge of words. So do that, please.

This post was written in my flat, so all the opinions within are basically mine. Therefore I’m surprised Stevie didn’t use this as yet another opportunity to bash Aliens: Colonial Marines. Geez, that game was bad. Really, really bad.
