Despite many poor reviews and Sega officially stating that there won’t be a sequel, it appears that Alpha Protocol hasn’t sold as poorly as we’d been led to believe. In the first financial quarter this year Alpha Protocol was the second best selling Sega game with 700,000 sales so far. The only game to outsell it was the multi-platform movie tie-in Iron Man 2 with 1.1 millions units sold.
As someone who enjoyed my time with Alpha Protocol its good to see the game not be a complete flop. I really wonder what the sales target was for the game that Sega has already officially stated that it hasn’t met their expectations.
