And the winner of last week’s prize of Road Rash II is……….. goodlymike!
Congratulations Mr. Mike who his good. I will be sending you an email soon to gather your shipping information.
As you may or may not realize this week will be the 25th episode of Sega Addicts. In celebration we’re giving away not one but two Sega consoles! A Sega Saturn and a Sega Dreamcast. I was lucky enough to have found them at Goodwill recently and both seem to be in working condition. For some reason every console I get there is missing the AV cable but they do have their power cord and controllers. Also, the Saturn includes a copy of Virtua Cop while the Dreamcast includes NFL2K (best football game every made). Luckily, you can find AV cables for both systems quite cheap on eBay so if you’re the winner it won’t be much of a hassle to get the system up and running.
We’ll be drawing two winners this week and to see how to enter just click “more” and find out below.
How to enter:
It’s simple really. At the end of each week (Saturday night), all of the comments left on the site will be totaled up. Every comment you leave gives you one chance to be drawn as the winner of that week’s prize. So, the more commenting you do the better chance you have to win, but you do have a small chance of winning even if you only leave one comment that week.
Comments that are not relevant to a post will not count. They also have to have substance. Just saying “Awesome” on every post will get you nowhere, son. As long as you’re praising the author for a job well done, asking a question, adding some information, or even debating against one of the author’s points, your comment will count.
At the end of each week the comments will reset. Even if you left a bunch one week, you’ll have no entries unless you leave more the next week. But just think if you’re a big commenter you could potentially win four games a month! Wowza!
Holy crap. This is the best contest ever.
Omigod a Saturn. Omigod a Saturn. Omigod a Saturn!
Alex, you have the Good Will of Champions.
Congrats to #1 Sega Addicts fan GoodlyMike, too
Hahaha awesome, thank you so much guys! I had a Sega Saturn at one point but we had a break in awhile back and they took alot of my stuff, including my Saturn >_<. But once again, thank you so very much!!!
WAT.
Omg I hope this is rigged in my favour.
Does this post not count for the comments? Because I want to say how much I want these damn systems. I never even touched a Sega Saturn. I wanna see what it’s all about and I want to import Symphony of the Night and play as Maria SO BAD! I’ve also always wanted a Dreamcast. I just can’t afford these things. I tried NOT* emulating Dreamcast but my computer can’t render the 3D environments right. So I’m left with laggy Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. Gimme these things PWEASE!
Congrats to the winner. Can’t wait for the next podcast.
Now this is a contest.
I want that Saturn so damn bad. I found a shop near me that has some Saturn games. They have Street Fighter Alpha 1 and 2 and Battle Monsters.
@Matt
Battle Monsters! Based on what I’ve heard in the podcast, you should buy that game even if you don’t win the system. Place it on your mantle, under glass. Show it to guests.
I’m pretty sure my Dreamcast works, but my Saturn is a whole other story. Maybe I should check to see if it does work. It would be interesting to win a system that I already own. If that happened I would probably make a contest of my own and give it away as a prize. That would be cool.
I have a SS both Import and Domestic, bad part is the Domestic works but needs a memory card. Same for the Import (white ver. SS). Anyway gratz to GoodyMike and congratz to whomever wins those two. I for one had to work at Goodwill (community service) and it’s surprising what thing’s you find people throw away nowadays.
Grats goodlymike!
Also, everyone should want to win this contest! Get commenting!
What! Guess I better start to comment more on the site
Congratz goodlymike.
It’s weird that the consoles are missing the AV cables, (it’s not like you can use them for anything else.)
Still, this is an awesome contest.
Two systems that I always wanted to own but never did. I remember my close friend selling all his genesis and sega cd systems and games just to have enough credit for the $400 behemoth that was the Sega Saturn. I also remember playing the movie adaptation of Street Fighter on that console, it was just awful!
goodlymike congrats man 🙂 !!!
I think i have enough av cables lol i should try selling lol. I missed playing sega dreamcast and my only game capcom vs snk !!! Back then cds were the blueray … Good old days 🙂
Now that I think about it, you should save the Dreamcast for whoever hits 500 posts on the forum first.
……..Never mind the fact that I’m already at 445.
I’m interested in the two consoles but it seems that the item that mostly interest me is Virtua Cop. I used to love playing that over my cousin’s house. I think I may have been a bit evil though because I would intentionally shoot the innocents. And since I’m talking about Virtua Cop, has anyone played Ghost Squad? It seriously feels like a spiritual successor to Virtua Cop.
Here’s a comment: I love cats. NOT!!!!! Its all been a ruse.
I wanna i wanna a dreaammmmcast 🙂 nothing beats old school games like virtua cop where story are simple ( ehm evl inc lol as the bad guys for a lack of a better name) and its was all abt da skillz !!! I wanna try and see if my skillz :p
Silly Alex. Cats are awesome.
sweet a Dreamcast and a Saturn
Sega dreamcast awesome
@Alex
You have flipped my world upside down. Everything I know to be true is a lie.
@Josh
No need to worry. Bacon still taste like carpet and cars still go “Moo!” when you’re parking. Things are perfectly normal.
But what if I was Double Lying starring Ashley Judd?
@Alex
Actually, it’s Double Jeopardy starring Alex Trebek.
What about Double Dragon on the Sega Master System (best version)
Can you Double Down my Double Dragon?
Double Dragon double dipping?
Wow. That is a most awesome contest. And, speaking of things found at goodwill, I went there a couple of days ago and they had a copy of Grandia II for Dreamcast for like two bucks, which is sweet. Unfortunately for me, I had absolutely no money on me. So then I went back the next day and it was GONE. That combined with the copy of MDK 2 I spotted a few days earlier at Gamers that had also been purchased made for a bad day.
Arglactable: u can always get cheap at like Frank & Sons or any of these small game shops in LA :p tho i dunno why u like grandia 2
Sega Saturn FTW woooot !! Tho would like to play double dragon :p hmm wait was it on SS?
It’s not really a matter of liking Grandia 2, but a matter of liking how Grandia 2 would look next to my other Dreamcast games on a shelf. 😛 If I had to choose, I definitely would have preferred MDK 2, but I’ve never actually played either game.
