Sonic 4: Episode 1 at the top of the Windows 7 Phone charts

I know there are a lot of mixed opinions out there about this game. Personally I enjoyed it. However recent sales figures posted by Major Nelson show that maybe I’m not the only one. Major Nelson, Director of Programming for XBL, normally posts how well download games sell for XBLA and has just added the Windows 7 phone to the charts as well. Sonic 4: Episode 1 was the most downloaded game last week on the phone. Pretty cool for a game that’s been out for quite some time on every other platform to be doing so well.

  1. is the phone version the same as the console ones?

  2. There are two levels that are different from the console version, as far as I know.

  3. i tried looking up the zones but couldnt find anything

  4. I know the iPhone one utilizes the tilt function of the phone for a mine cart level…not sure if the Windows 7 phone would take advantage of this since I’m guessing not all phones in the Windows 7 line have that functionality.

Which brings me to ask…does anyone have a Windows 7 phone? I like a lot of the features it has and would consider jumping to one of those once my iPhone kicks it. It looks like a sleek, convenient little piece of tech. There isn’t a ton of support for it right now though, which explains why an older game like Sonic 4 is dominating the charts on it.
