Prepare to have the wires of your childhood memories irrevocably messed with against your will.
In the video above, YouTuber Paul LastLevelTech revives Sega’s forgotten, battery drinking handheld using none other than Nintendo’s latest console, the Wii U. That’s right–using the Game Gear’s TV tuner, he’s managed to connect the Wii U’s game pad up to the black brick, displaying both the Mii-verse and New Super Mario Bros U on its early ’90s screen.
Once I got over this heretic’s unforgivable actions, I found myself really intrigued by what he has done here. After years of seeing Sonic mingling with the Nintendo locals, it’s nice to see Mario finally migrating to one of Sega’s consoles.
